There was a bit of a mixup on meal/nap timing, with Eleanor eventually shifting into the ultra-rare “full gutted velociraptor mode.” Knowing time was of no use to the situation, dad resorted to driving her around in the car until she passed out. Even Eleanor’s inner strength and persistence is no match for being tired in a car on the interstate. Ten minutes into the nice fall drive towards the Loess Hills Scenic Byway (strategically selected for the sleeping-supporting shady ravines), she was out cold.

At age two, Eleanor has already perfected her perplexed-reading-instructions face

And of course dinner breaks out into a verse or six of “Baby Shark”

Watching the Macy’s parade, though Eleanor is just happy to be holding the remote

Eleanor continues her acrobatic feeding, this time, with accessories

Both kids stopped every one in a while to watch part of the parade, but it was mostly just play as usual

With the entire family having a cold to one degree or another, the morning was fairly low-key with some parade watching.

Early in the afternoon everyone was bundled up for Thanksgiving meal at ma & pa’s house. And of course, Eleanor just slept.

The fever finally broke, but with topping out at 104.3 the afternoon before, he woke up with his body over-correcting at 96.2. So, stocking cap nap it is.
