Eleanor stuck, like a smidge, but do NOT get in her way

Eleanor stuck, like a smidge, but do NOT get in her way

When November is nearly over, but it’s still warm enough to play outside after daycare, you ignore the fact it’s completely dark outside

Still hoping to scale that slide, but no hope in shoes

Desmond helping dad with the annual “get all of the tree to light” challenge- this time only taking half a day! New and improved, now with live 120-volt testing!

Mom was the real hero of the morning, keeping both of these hooligans entertained and safe

Building a snowman, because what else would it be?

Eleanor has reached the stage of standing– if both of her hands are preoccupied with something interesting

Des hanging the Charlie Brown ornament

And modeling the elf hat…

…while hanging the stockings

Inspecting the Snoopy ornament

Eleanor spent a better part of the evening trying to master standing up on the rub with bare feet

She got a few wins in (naturally, see prior slide climbing marathons)

Persistence and smiles

<Insert memory here of why mom is laughing so much, may have involved cheerios?>

Desmond mastering the non-hook, string loop class of ornaments

Des trying everything to get the star on top of the tree

Setting new records for shortest photo op

Hop on pop

Eleanor getting in on a round of cheers!

Some baths are funnier than others
Desmond doing his very best to not touch ornaments on the tree

Someone’s favorite ornament

From best dad could tell, this was Des showing the Artoo ornament the Artoo in the book?

Des was pretty hyped about the “des-sized” tree, requested a picture with it 🙂

Sometimes it’s rough waking up after nap time, and you just need a hug

Desmond and mom raking up the pods before dad dethatches. The overhead of the additional “help” is notable

She is utterly convinced the spinning portion of the drill is removable, as attested to by her persistence in trying to grab and pull it while whilst operating the drill

Eleanor’s new habit is to grab the remote and go fetch a blanket. While not much TV watching goes on to mimic to begin with, she just likes turning the remote around and pushing buttons

Eleanor practicing her new face, clearly excited for the tree lighting at the Durham

Des was a bit nervous to meet Santa last year, but was an old pro this go-around. He also asked Santa for “a barn,” though Santa could only laugh, having not heard that one yet this century.

Stepping into the map, near home

Exploring the Zoom Into Nano exhibit

“On your head, for a hat”

Desmond exploring the inside of a silicon wafer

Watching the Macy’s parade, though Eleanor is just happy to be holding the remote

…see?

Eleanor continues her acrobatic feeding, this time, with accessories

Both kids stopped every one in a while to watch part of the parade, but it was mostly just play as usual

One of the greatest laughs <3

Everything is a chew toy, if you want it to be

Thanksgiving at ma and pa’s, and grandma too

Liam and Des kept busy

Eleanor trying pumpkin pie for the first time

Seemingly mixed review, though she had several more bites

Exhausted after not having a nap, though it’s only 5:30p :/

Movie picnic, watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

Lightsabers: fun for the whole family!

Party in the ball tent
