Eleanor is shocked to find out there’s another trip to the water park after breakfast.

After seemingly panning splash pads this past summer, she spent a surprising amount of time here- flittering from one to the next to wash her hands, and those of whoever else is near

Des is just tall enough to grab a firm pull on the lever…

…wonder if the first time he knew what it’d do?

Sister gets in on the big splash action too

Wash all the hands

Team llama looking (surprisingly) in the same general direction

Then someone was merciful and offered to take a picture

Des for one last trip down the big slide (which is apparently constructed in such a manner that it is mathematically impossible for kids to careen down and arrive in a jumble of no fewer than two)

Well-rested after a long nap, making the most of the opportunity to gather for one last pizza dinner. Ella and grandma in the mermaid blanket-

Story time with grandma, for a repeat reading of Car’s “Tractor Trouble”

Looks like Eleanor had fun at the water park

The boys construct a fairly ambitious car track, though a few actually made it all the way

On Sunday’s, we eat quiche (or occasionally at Culprit anyway)

Beautiful morning for a trip to the zoo

Ten minutes. These two watched those two, without moving much, for ten minutes. Dad just kinda waited to see how it played out

Mom successfully wooed a budgie and Ella was enthralled

Walking in water is tricky, best to hold a hand

The zoo gang.

SPLASH PARK!

Eleanor was a bit timid around the water spouts, but quickly acclimated to running through it all

Slapping sprayed water, as you do

Pretty much everything still goes straight into the mouth

Des really likes his Cars book. Sister does too, but for a different reason.

Everything tastes better via chopsticks

Des (surprisingly) getting into the splashing mood after dinner

Proud of his stacking skills (and let’s face it, dad was too)

Lots of energy to burn, so it was a trip to the splash pad and a walk around Stinson Park

Enjoying the nice weekend weather near the pedestrian bridge, Des is still learning to navigate the various splash pads

And water up the nose…

He could have watched the boats pass for hours, running to the other side to watch each boat round the river bend and disappear

Birthday party for Grace- cooling off before cake time

After a post-party nap, it was warm enough for a late afternoon visit to the new splash pad at the zoo

Took a few minutes to observe what all the fuss was about, but Des was soon splashing with the best of them

The penguins were sleeping, but he still waved “hello”
