Des was pretty hyped about the “des-sized” tree, requested a picture with it 🙂
Sometimes it’s rough waking up after nap time, and you just need a hug

Desmond inspecting the family’s new Explorer with pa
Wakey, wakey
Looking like she’s holding on for dear life during her second time riding in a cart
Ella instigating a game of peekaboo with mom
Baby’s first time sitting in a shopping cart
First time at the checkout register, Eleanor is dubious of the man touching all of our food and hiding it in brown bags
Nap time is the best time
Generations 1, 3 and 4
Desmond felt it was best to gather all the balloons together in the middle of the room, as you do
Balloons = magic

Snoopy and Woodstock play music and light up?!
Big brother sharing his card, Ella was equally impressed
Desmond quickly settling in story-listening position as Uncle Mike read one of his new books
Eleanor hopped in and contemplated the book’s plot and sub-themes
Eleanor showing off her most recent nighttime party trick: waking up and sitting, without making much more than a peep, then falling asleep again.
On a drizzly, cold autumn morning, Desmond and dad head to the children’s museum. We’re not going to say he shops like mom, but…
Riding the train by himself, like the almost-three-year-old he is
Got a few balls to reliably launch out of the cannon this time
During a prior visit, Desmond scanned in a coloring and got to watch it animate into a 3D world. This time dad was less confident that the original drawings made it into the system. Thinking he found plane similar-enough to call Desmond’s, Des later began doing this:
Can’t tell if he’s just trying to mentally reconcile seeing his drawing projected on the screen, or if he caught on and was dubious of the match or…
Stop. Blocks time.
And then it was nap time
Eleanor and dad came down after nap to find brother beginning to watch an episode of Beat Bugs. Eleanor joined on the couch for just a moment, though apparently shocked to be watching
Yup, thrilled
Evening shopping for upcoming family photos, Des models a nice two-button suit jacket. For fun.
After driving to Fort Calhoun and walking a half-mile walk from the car, there were alpacas! It was the open house weekend for Alpacas of the Heartland
Saying hello to new creatures
Incredibly soft
Eleanor got in on feeding carrots to the alpacas
Des finds a goofy new friend
Where the alpacas roam
During nap time, it was hard to determine if Des was in bed or not.
…then this one beady eye popped out from under the pile of blankets and stuffed animal
Eleanor decided to liven up the Friday by catching pinkeye. Poor girl wasn’t feeling well and, for the first time like her brother, fell asleep in the high chair.
Napped for almost three hours
On the way out of picking up brother, saw a couple photos of Des and one of his friends
Post-nap party, llama stare
Improvising on the chew toys, as usual
