With the rain subsiding and cool temperatures remaining, it was a good morning for a family hike. Hiking with a toddler is a non-linear cycle: sprint, wander, backtrack, plead to resume forward motion, saying good-bye to all living and non-living creatures. Repeat.
Helping open the envelope to see if he’ll have a new baby brother or sister…
Not sure if it was the recent rains and temperatures, but just an unusual amount of snails alongside the trail and crawling atop the grass. Des had quite the keen eye for new snails

It was a good morning for a hike at Fontenelle Forest and Des was all about running through the trees

After nap time, it was time to cool off poolside. This is about as far in as he ventured though (dad needs to preheat it out in the sun for a bit next time)
