Des discovers a pair of gloves while mom is sorting his little sister’s “new” clothes. Five minutes of later, he has them on correctly and dad concludes mittens are clearly the way to go.

Sushi for dinner, where Des both ate avocado rolls, including the nori, and (finally) learned how to shuck his own edamame.
Des passed the Kobayashi Maru tonight: moments after the gameplay sunk in, he decided “Let’s Go Fishin” is indeed challenging. He promptly flipped the switch to stop the fish and resumed fishing. Well played young man, well played.
