Maha 2018

With Eleanor already at ma and pa’s house, Desmond naps for maximum festival energy. While the verdict is out on whether co-napping helped expedite the early “go to sleep” portion of napping, it was nice

The  year prior, Des was pretty disappointed he didn’t get to go on the ferris wheel (admittedly mom and dad misread the height requirement sign, which only applied to children riding solo). So this year, stop #1 was the ferris wheel.

Baby’s first ferris wheel (although this may be the point in which later he referred to his “tummy feeling spinny”)

Pure joy.

Taking in some tunes

Coloring a panel for the Joslyn sculpture

These two posers.

Des painting a canvas bag, meticulously using all the colors

Perfect.

What festival experience is complete without a snow cone?

From Maha, with love.

Desmond learns that pulling the cart is easier to steer

Riding the “tractors,” of course

Sometimes he seems like he’s growing up so quickly. Then he goes through the carwash with utter amazement and wonder 🙂

Baby’s first Maha festival

Now officially a family event

Just warm enough to enjoy a nice snow cone (very light on the syrup)

…she seriously couldn’t get enough

Eleanor reflecting on the bliss that is a snow cone

Finishing up while we duck into dad’s office before heading home

Like dad always says, “too much maha, soon ZZZ ZZZZZ”
