After an early start to the day with early 90s educational videos, Dad caught the sunrise during a hunt for coffee

Dad woke up Des from his lap. He said, “hi!” and ran over for a hug. Mere moments later, he said “baby sister” and ran downstairs.

Ask Desmond how old he’s going to be, the answer is “six!” However he knows the shape for “two,” so it may be starting to sink in…

Dundee Days

The family’s second year at the annual neighborhood festival. Met up with friends after pancakes to watch the parade, catching candy and various swag. Des still isn’t tuned into the whole candy-throwing aspect, maybe that’ll change during the upcoming Labor Day parade.

It was a good morning for a hike at Fontenelle Forest and Des was all about running through the trees

“Come on son, let’s put those couch climbing skills to use”

After nap time, it was time to cool off poolside. This is about as far in as he ventured though (dad needs to preheat it out in the sun for a bit next time)
