At Mother’s Day tea 1 of 2, Des shows his present off to Eleanor. She appears less than impressed, though mom loved it.

The monumental event this week was aunt Kellie, uncle Mike and Calvin moving from Iowa City to Omaha. Assisting the move, great-aunt Molly also gets to meet Eleanor for the first time.

After spending a better part of yesterday and this morning working on the lawn, Des celebrates by conducting the sprinklers with his stick

After family photos at the Joslyn, everyone unwinds with some ice cream. Des enjoys his first ice cream cone with berry blue sorbet.
Seeing a real-life “Mader” (tow truck) while wearing his Cars pajamas. Somebody was awfully excited to watch everything, though probably not the car’s owner
