Ventured down to the Gifford Park Neighborhood Market to see our friend, Phyllis. Des and dad had some hibiscus tea. It was a calm, serene moment…
Baby’s first trip to Cali Taco. Just some harmless rice and beans, what could go wrong?

What followed was the first weekend both kids got sick. Messes. Dad stepping on a rusty nail. Sick bowls. Crying everywhere.
The pediatrician would later implicitly confirm the incident was unrelated to dining. Just a horrible coincidence.

Since the last parade, Des is freshly aware of the potential for nabbing candy at these shindigs. Which made it that more dramatic that the first few groups did not have candy to offer.

Ella has a love/hate relationship with the velcro ball game
Other than yogurt bites, no other food solicits her R2-D2 dance like tomatoes. And if you still have any on your plate when hers are gone, she’ll yell out “JUSTICE!!” (presumably)
