Des was really eager to show dad his painting of The Starry Night. Spot on.

We have now entered the “put a blanket on it” stage of toddlerism. Eleanor covering up her baby before leaving daycare for the day.

“Momma’s shoes. Momma’s shoes. Momma’s shoes.”

Talking on the “phone” (remote) to ma. It appeared the conversation was going on quite some time, as ten minutes later, mom and dad returned to the living room to find that she had actually button-mashed her way into turning the TV on and was watching an episode of “Good Times”

With barely glancing at the ground, Des spots a new friend and picks it up for a closer look

She figured out the gloves shortly after discovering them, then just ran away!

Des digging out the next hole

Desmond and Eleanor both have this behavior of turning around and then backing into and dropping into a lap.  While this was common with both dad and mom, Eleanor was the first to pull this move with Max. Grateful for oh-so-patient Maxwell.

Down…

Scoot…

Okay, ready.

After Eleanor accompanies dad outside to collect brother, Des insists on individually shouting fond farewells to each of his friends

A symbiotic relationship between brother shirking responsibilities and sister striving for the next rung in maturity

Upon coming come to a groomed (half his prior volume-by-fluff) dog, Eleanor was both confused and angry by what had become of her dog Max and who this imposter was? It took her several minutes to get used to Max’s new look, or perhaps she finally surrendered to the notion that there was simply a new dog in the house.

She certainly has our vote

Ma visits daycare for a dry-run on picking the kids up before mom and dad are out of town. Des was excited to show ma how to walk down the ramp

Team llama children enjoy all colors of play-doh

For someone who has shown physical repulsion to particular sensory experiences, it is so curious how Eleanor insists on rubbing play-doh through her hair and across her face

This morning’s entertainment brought to you by a wind-up chick:

“RAWW!”

It’s very important to wear the proper footwear, be it for basketball…

…or while eating snacks

Ella basically called “dibs” on a hat in the dress-up center, wore it until lunch time

Eleanor pause between rounds of open/closing her water bottle, squirting herself in the face and then laughing 🙂

Not that it wasn’t planned to begin brushing her teeth after bath time, but she insisted on it without much guidance and really started her own habit
