Narrowly avoided disaster at the hardware store with, “That’s ma’s special gift, daddy doesn’t want to make ma sad by getting you one too”

Des decorates the card for Ms. Kristen’s gift- so fortunate for such a caring extension of the family, during truly special years during their lives

This kids got caught in the stream of kids migrating between house on the block, heading towards the neighbor’s swing set. While dad was still navigating the parental/social protocols, Eleanor just went full-tilt down the slide. She landed with a light bump on the rear, but she grinned and ran back to the ladder, as you’d expect her to-

Des was really eager to show dad his painting of The Starry Night. Spot on.

We have now entered the “put a blanket on it” stage of toddlerism. Eleanor covering up her baby before leaving daycare for the day.

“Momma’s shoes. Momma’s shoes. Momma’s shoes.”

Talking on the “phone” (remote) to ma. It appeared the conversation was going on quite some time, as ten minutes later, mom and dad returned to the living room to find that she had actually button-mashed her way into turning the TV on and was watching an episode of “Good Times”
