With the weather near 80 today, it was the perfect afternoon for a picnic at Lake Manawa

Rocks and sticks and water? Des was onboard.

Ella was content just to hang in the shade

Yummy picnic, sans blanket dad forgot

Someone was ECSTATIC to finally wear his short-sleeve “rocket ship!” pajama top since it was finally warm enough. Note the day-old glow stick from aunt Kellie- after a day in the freezer, still going strong.

Rise and shine for the LEGO artists expo at the botanical center. In addition to the prior lego exhibit, there were a lot of interesting builds from the Lincoln/Omaha Lego group. Featured here is a train racing past Ray’s Music Exchange (don’t tell mom)

What kid wouldn’t dive into a pile of legos? Des occasionally looked over at his older cousin for both validation and cues on what to do next 🙂

These two goofballs taking a break for a photo before lunch arrived

Sure Mr. Waiter, you can (try to) take our picture

Later in the afternoon at grandpa’s house, Des was focused primarily on his water can and how much he could get away with near the “pond”

St. Patrick’s Day 2017

Life is so hard

Des and aunt Kellie synchronizing the opening of their St. Patrick’s Day musical cards (thanks grandma!)

There might be a tooth hiding in there somewhere. Either way, finger = good.

Not everything is a kodak moment- here’s baby sister screaming her adorable little head off during bath time

Des and Cal attempting the worlds worst jigsaw puzzle. Yeah right, good luck kids

Winding down the evening quietly…

Moving On Up

Someone was still napping when dad picking them up from daycare

Look at who joined everyone at the dinner table! Even if it was just to play with toys, she’s into to watching everyone- especially all the sounds and (reasonable) antics emitting from her big brother.

Toys and treats.

“Reading” Dinosaurumpus! to baby sister

Even as this picture was being taken, Desmond was blissfully echoing dad’s advice: “No eat snow.” Yes, you’re the poster child for “don’t eat the [days old, mostly melted into the dirt] snow.”

Celebrating great-grandma Kathy’s 80th birthday

Giggles and kisses with ma

With daylight savings, everyone is ready for a nap

Too cold for the parade, so it was a morning at the baby gym

What’s better than these two laughing together?
