Valentines Day party is another opportunity to hang out with Des in the afternoon, enjoy snacks and paint using our feet. “Son, you know that part of you that doesn’t like sticky stuff on your fingers and likes to put toys away? That comes from me. And here I am painting your feet.”

Bubbles: taste good or no?
A friend who previously ran a vegan restaurant has started a new soup and pie subscription service. Each Wednesday in January and February, we pick up soup and make sandwiches. While opting out of the weekly pies, this week’s berry pie was just too tempting.

What has been nicknamed “SnOMAhog,” the Groundhog Day blizzard closed schools but underwhelmed predictions. Lots of indoor playtime with daycare closed, so everyone ventured out in the afternoon to play. Des apparently thinks people go out in the snow solely to eat said snow.
